I have questions!

I've been checking my application status online and it says :
We sent you a letter on July 08, 2003 to my address, about approval in principle for you to become a Permanent Resident of Canada. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us. Thank you.
We sent you a letter on July 08, 2003 to my address, about the decision on your application. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us. Thank you.
What is different between AIP and "the decision on your application"?
(I haven't got the letter and I am anxious to know "the decision". -.-)

It clearly says that it is about approval in principle - AIP means that you
qualify to be sponsored from within Canada and if you are found not
inadmissible you will get your PR status. AIP also allows you to apply for
open work or study permit.

what is "open" work or study permit?
Do I just use IMM1249 to get one?
or is there additional requirement?

"Open" means that you may get job or start study program anywhere, permit is
not tied in any way to a single employer or school. You should use IMM 1249
application form and there are no additional requirements other than stated
in the application kit, just your AIP letter. Note that with AIP you don't
need job offer or school acceptance letter for it.
