Welcome to Canada,

When you get here just be smart in how you go about settling in. Do not sign
any document you do not understand and when renting your apartment sign to a
month to month least not a year long thing that you cannot get out of for a
while and please also look around carefully before buying any car from a
private person. you will need a Used vehicle information package and
inspections done . All in all coming to Canada can be a great experience for
ppl who are assertive and carefull about whom they do business with.
Also remember that crime is also in Canada so do not let down your gaurd
when you get here and you will have a great time in Canada. Things will get
tough here so do not be greedy, be prepared to work small jobs untill your
ship comes in. REmember that the best way to find a job in Canada is thru
NETWORKING with other ppl. not the newspapers nor the internet.

Congratulations!!!

My case is somehow similar. My wife is pregnant. How did you deal with
medicals: did you pass medicals and your wife with newborn child later or
you did it all together?

i tihnk you are best off all waiting, the medicals are only valid for 12
months so if you do them so early then your have a 9 month wait you are
probably gonna end up having to do them again anyway.

Hi,
In my case I first informed CIC about the pregnency status, they
replied with a paper requesting extra documents for the new born baby,
after birth I submitted the birth documents, paid the proccessing fees
(100CAD) sent all papers to CIC. After 1 month they send my the new
medical forms for all of us including the new baby.

I hope its helpful for you.
