i am probably repeating a question asked a million times before.
if i enter canada on a tourist visa do i need a return flight booked?
i have no intention of staying in the country illegally however myself and my girlfriend (who is a canadian citizen) would like the opportunity to live together for a short period before we make major decisions regarding marriage and where we will apply for residency. therefore i would intend to be in the country for up to six months - unless we decide to just get married and be done with it in which case we would apply either in the UK or Canada for one of us to be a permanent resident.
also i am on a list of 'under pressure' occupations for the province we would be living in. if i were to find work would i be able to leave to the states in order to process an application for a temporary work visa or would i need to return to the UK?
