Re: HRSDC LMO Timeline
I think my future employer is slightly misguided based on the waiting times posted on here! They thought they would get an LMO in a week LOL!!
1) Provincial office where applied: Alberta
2) Date when application was POSTED: mid-august
3) Date when they recieved the application: got lost, re-sent mid-september
4) Any correspondence or calls received by your employer in between, if yes then the nature of the enquiry and after how many days/weeks did you get an enquiry from them? employer chased application after 4 weeks, they had lost it!
5) Date when decision made or recieved? ??
6) Employee is inside or outside Canada when the Application was submitted? Outside
Fingers crossed

Re: HRSDC LMO Timeline
On October 05th, HRSDC Vancouver were processing applications received on May 09th !
It means that they process 1 week of application in 3 weeks (with now e-Applications).
I applied mid-August but I don't know how long it will take ? 8 or 9 months maybe...

Re: HRSDC LMO Timeline
I just can't believe it...My work permit already expired on Oct 6, and haven't been able to work since then. I went to a backpacking trip to the Eastern Canada for 2 weeks and came back to Alberta the other day but still watiting for LMO. My company is waiting for me but I wonder if they want to wait another month or so! And I have to wait without pay and Alberta health care...(I've applied for a visitor visa to stay legally). It's VERY frustrating!

Re: HRSDC LMO Timeline
Your're not going to believe this, but we have just been speaking to husbands employer who has been trying to contact us since Friday.
LMO people were on to him and they say the job has not been advertised extensively enough and the advert does not have enough detail in it - so no LMO at the minute will be granted.
He has advertised it right across Canada for about 8 months constantly and on the correct websites:curse:
I am so annoyed I may even scream, he now wants us to apply for Saskatchewan PNP which we could have done 4 months ago, but HRSDC had promised him LMO would be two weeks
I have already asked this question on a new thread and dont even know why I am repeating it - but do we need an LMO for PNP?
Off to cry now

I'm not sure if you need an LMO for PNP in SK...I know Alberta doe require it though BC doesn't.

Re: HRSDC LMO Timeline
That's terrible. Advertising for 8 months is not enough?? Did they put the ads on Job Bank too? My company put ads on Job Bank for 2 months and the local newspaper for a weekend...we submitted a lot of info to HRSDC. It would be terrible if my LMO is rejected after waiting this long...(23 weeks).

Seems I dont need LMO for Sask PNP, which is something at least.
I really wish you the best of luck with yours as I wouldnt wish this crap on my worst enemy

I've also got a feeling the same thing may have happened in our case. As I said before, my employer was under the impression they would get the LMO back in a week after speaking to the HRSDC but I haven't heard anything since they lost my application 4 weeks ago. I have however checked my employer's website and the vacancies page has been completely re-vamped with much more in depth job adverts!
I'm waiting a response from my employer as we speak but I'm guessing they've had to re-advertise with more detail before my LMO will be approved!!
I should have been a detective!! Lol
