Hi,
Today i received my caips notes and it will be great if someone can explain the following:
1) what is PSDEC and SELDEC, it mentioned number as well as date ?
2) mentioned file sent to PA ..file BF'D on 20-04-2004 whereas it mentioned Medicals valid till 01-04-2004....does it mean that we have to do medicals again since bring forward date is later than medical expire date or it mean something else?
3) Total points awarded are : 70 ..Is any oher column also important that i missed from caips? (it is 8 page report)
Thanks

Public Security and Selection.

If you did you medicals on 01/04/03 they would be valid to 01/04/04,
therefor you would probably have to have a new medical, if Visa is not
issued by 01/04/04. The BF date is just a date for the officer to look at
the file to determine if any action is required. The file is BFed just in
case that a result or action is placed on the file and it is not forwarded
to the officer. The BF is just a sort of a belt and suspender system, it
case the file is not brought forward.

Nope, unless there are officer notes.

Mr. Miller, all,
Is there somewhere (on the internet?) a table that explains
CAIPS abbreviation?
Can I get by myself those CAIPS notes from USA without using the commercial websites?
Thanks,

The BFDate is January 20, 04. The date of medical expiration is April 1, 04.
So you still have some time, may be you will receive passport request by
then.

Try this, it should explain most of the caips codes. I do not know if it is complete, but it is the best I have found so far.
Good luck
