Hi,
We have just received the letter asking us to send our passports for
affixing the visa (CHC London). They have asked us to send the
passports by courier or mail and say that the passports will be
returned after 10 working days. I would like to know:
- How does the visa office send the passports back (courier/ordinary
mail) ?
- Do I have the option to have the passports sent to CHC London and
returned back fully insured at my cost ? Courier companies have such
packages available for sending documents like passports. But I do not
know if CHC London will accept that.
Any comments would be helpful. Thanks!

i would not be too worried. They return it by royal mail registered post
anyway so it is unlikely to get lost and will only be delivered with a
signature. They delivered mine when no one was home and I had to go to
the local office to sign for it so they will not just leave it lying
around. I sent mine to them using royal mail special delivery to
guarantee next day morning delivery. Got it back in 9 days including the
weekend.
