Default How long is a police certificate valid for?

Hi I have my police certificate from the UK that is dated 30th of May 2012. How long is this good for? Also, I've been living here in Canada (as a visitor) since September 2011. Will I need a police check from here too? Thanks

Your police certificate can not be more than 3 months old when applying for PR. Not sure about the Canadian cert though. Am sure someone will be along in a moment who knows.

No you don't need a Canadian one, they run your details (I believe) through a central database, and it's only if your particulars nmatch up with someone already on there with a criminal record that they will contact you to go and get fingerprints taken.
