If I'm granted a residence visa, A) how long must I remain in the country in order to
qualify for another residence visa? B) how long must I remain in the country to
qualify for citizenship? Does anyone have exact figures on this? Thanks in advance.

You need to stay 2 out of 5 years to MAINTAIN Permanent Residency (under new law) -
under old law you need to stay 183 days out of 365 every year. You need to stay 1095
days minimum to qualify for Citizenship - in rare cases people with valid reasons
have got exceptions.
