my wife is a canadian citizen and she is sponsoring me to join her in canada. i sent in my application on the 4th september and a month later the home office needed picture of our marriage which i forgot to add. i sent that to them and i want to know how long it will take to be called for an interview. my wife is here in ghana for a holiday since 4th november and she will go back to toronto in march.
whats the interview procedure like and who qualifies for a waiver

Hi:

You can anticipate receiving your Assessment letter approximately 4 to 16 weeks from
the date of your Acknowledgement of Receipt letter.

Your Assessment letter will advise as to whether or not you will be required to
attend an interview.

Interview waivers are generally granted to individuals whom the visa officer feels
that there is no issues as to the bona fides of their relationship. Examples of
evidence in support of the bona fides of the relationship are correspondence,
telephone bills, invitations, pictures or video tapes of the wedding and receptions.
