Default How long does a company have to be set up for?

Hi

My friend owns his own computer company in Canada, hes been set up for a few months now and I will be working for him with my 1 yr working visa. Was just wondering if there was a possibility of him sponsoring me on the 1 yr is up.

any advice would be great

thanks

Sponsor how? Canada has no real employer-employee sponsorship options, they're more revolved around specific Job Offers. For Permanent Residence the options in this respect are AEOs and Provincial Nomination.

You can find the assessment criteria for AEOs here: http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/workplace...dcassess.shtml

For Provincial nomination it depends on what province you are in as to what the requirements are.

Per the link CanadaJimmy gave the company must be able to prove, with tax records, that it has been in business and employed workers for more than one year.
