Default How long after 'Decision Made' ?

With my warmest greetings,

Considering that I applied from france, do you have any idea how long normally it takes for european embassies to send the passport request after the status has changed to 'decision made'.

Please kindly advise me in this regard.

"Decision made" statement may reflect any decision made during the process,
not only the final one. It may be initial assessment decision (interview or
waiver), selection decision, criminal, medical or security check decision or
the final one. You didn't tell us when you applied, under what category,
what is your nationality and countries you resided in, when did you get
interview waiver or pass the interview and when did you do your medicals.
Knowing all those details may allow for some prediction of what you may
expect.

Dear Mr. Miller,

Thank you for your kind attention to my question,

applied June 2001 from UK /Skilled worker
interview & medicals August 2003
Nationality; Iranian
countries I lived more than 6 months; UK and my home country which is Iran.

At the time of interview, the officer told me that only my background check is needed to be completed and when I asked when it would be, she said before the end of the year.

But just before the end of the year, I received a letter asking me to fill in a form regarding my trips to abroad since I was 18 till now. I had already completed that form almost 18 months ago when they sent me the new forms to update my file.

Anyway, I am getting so confused, that how come my status is 'decision made' just two days after I sumitted that form again. Does it mean that finally it is over and I should expect passport request?

One more thing,, it has only mentioned that ' a decision has been made on your appllication ... ' but I noticed that they have not mentioned anything about my medicals,,, while I see other people usually find this sentence in their online status as well. Though I am sure they have it,, as I did my medicals before my interview and during my interview the officer said that my medicals has been received as well.

Please help me and let me know how long more shall I wait.

Once again, thanks a million for your help

It seems little bit too early for final decision as your background/security
check has been initialized after interview and for Iranians it usually takes
longer than 6 months (close to a year). But it is the average and you may
have been lucky. Just wait and hope for the best.
