Default How long?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any idea how long it takes to complete the background/qualification check? We had a phonecall 5 and a half weeks ago from CIC informing us that they are processing our appl. right now (amongst other things!). Just wondered how long approximately before we should get rejection/med requests! Should i be stalking the postman or not quite yet...??

Advice greatly appreciated as always

Thanks coffeepot! They didn't call just to tell me that unfortunately - wouldn't it be great if they did! They wanted to know if we still planned on going to NB and why and if hubby was planning on becoming a police officer over there. She only told me they were processing our appl. when i pressed her for more information - unfortunately she couldn't/wouldn't give us a timeline!!! Therefore am slowly going out of my mind (AOR Jul 05!)

I ( my consultant) sent a letter

I had done a 3 year course at college, plus a post colleger certificate in management, but they classed the 3 years a 3 x 1 years , which is about 8 points less..

I included all my college reports ( i went to college 22 years ago) that showed i went on a 3 year course, and i tracked down one of my old tutors that wrote a letter stating that I was on the 3 year course and passed...

they just reversed the findings and sent my medicals out , that did not help the 5 weeks of nail biting waiting for the appeal going being processed..

Good luck with your appeal.

Gary
