Hooray medicals at last
Been a member on here since last year not posted much but read loads. We applied for PNP last September to BC, which was granted in May this year. Just heard from our Lawyer in Canada that our medical requests have arrived at last......... cant beleive it. Only downfall is our police records are now out of date, so have to send off for new ones. Hope this is good news for all waiting on medicals means London must be moving again.

I am also PNP for BC. Applied March 06, accepted for PNP April 06. Meds July 27 and THEN the real wait starts. Boo hoo
Takes FOREVER to hear back after the meds apparantly because of the 'background security check'. Both only ever lived in UK and no police records and my partner ASSURES me he is not active in Al Q'aeda, so god knows why it takes so long!Be sure to chill out the day of your medical so your BP is not raised! Its a really basic medical - very perfunctory physical exam, HIV/Syph test (nice....) and a chest x-ray. Sure you will be fine! Good luck! Where in BC you headed?

Thanks for the replies,
We are headed for Vancouver, my hubby is is Plasterer so job waiting for him when we arrive......whenever that will be. The guy hubby will be working for is going to help us get a rented place to start with in either Pitt Meadows or Maple Ridge, so that will be a help as we are also bringing our dog and know it can be hard to get rented places that accept pets.

Congrats.
We too are on the PNP only for NB.
We have just received our medical request and police clearance update too.

Dont think it does normally take this long.
In the middle of our application our bank account was being used by a thief and we had to change all our bank details. With all this mess going on we forgot to inform our Lawyer in Canada, and when BC did a credit check it looked like we had no details. Our Lawyer sorted this out for us with them. We think this is why our application maybe took longer than normal.
Still we have the medicals booked now and hopefully will be in Canada soon.

Congratulations to you........ Just got our police clearances from Scotland this morning...... but need the clearance update from England hope they will be as fast.
