Default Holiday in Canada with a driving ban

A family member was disqualified from driving for 2 years in December 2012 for drink driving. Are they now inadmissible to visit us, unless they wait for five years and apply for rehabilitation or this for people who wish to immigrate here.
They haven't booked flights but have indicated they may visit this year.
Thanks

They require a Temporary Resident Permit Have to apply to London. There is one way for a 1 time entry as a visitor to obtain a TRP http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resourc...2012/ob389.asp

Yep, they're in admissible until 5 years have passed from the end of the ban, so another 7 years. CIC specifically mention drink driving on the info page about criminal rehab for visitors. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informa...conviction.asp

So as PMM said, their only chance is a TRP.
