Hi all
Thank you for taking the time to look at this thread, better again if you answered the questions.
1. Do you have to find a job before applying for a WP.
2. As a married couple do you both have to apply for a WP each.
3. If you apply for a WP what happens to your SW application.
4. Can you do any job on a WP
5. Is this a good idea.
Many thanks.
K
As you can see I'm trying to get out there quicker.

2. No, the spouse may get an open work permit I believe dependant upon the WP of the main applicant.
3. It runs its course.... you can update your file which may speed matters up with an offer to convert your temp job to permanent upon receipt of PR
4. You need an LMO to obtain a WP I believe ( see HRSDC website )
5. Depends whether you are ok being on temp permit in another country until/if you get your PR.

To check if your spouse is eligible to work under the Spousal Employment Scheme check for your occupation on this matrix If your occupation is O A or B then your OH should be able to apply for a SOWP (Spousal Open Work Permit).
Another good idea is to do a forum search on LMO, SOWP WP and TWP and you will come up with a tonne of information.
