Default Hepatitis A

Hi guys,

I had hepatitis A virus as a kid. My doctor says that hepatitis A is very mild and doesnt permentenly damage the liver. He also said that since i had hepatitis A as a kid, I have developed antibodies aganist it and I cannot get the A virus again.

Is getting the A virus when I was a kid going to be an issue for canadian immigration?

Probably not, unless you are a carrier.

You will be fine. You have cleared the infection/virus and are immune as you had an acute self-limiting infection and will not be a burden to Canadian healthcare services. You present no risk of transmission to others any more. Bring it up at the medical and make sure they have access to your GP's notes though.
