Default Help?? Re Work Experience Ex Forces

Hi I need some advice with letters of reference from past employers.
I was in H.M.Forces for 15 years and have a Certificate of Service (Nice red book.) It containsrecord of service, description of me,where I served and certificate of Discharge.
Would a copy of this be enough (ok) for the work experience, or do I need a upto date letter of reference?
Also do I need a Police check from the Forces?

I thank you for your help.

Get notarized copies of all proofs you wish to send to prove your case as a Skilled Worker, do not just send the bare minimums. I sent copies, certified by a notrary, of payslips, contracts, employment offers, qualifications, school and university records. "The more the merrier" is the deal, eh? Keep the bearocrats happy and supply a plethora of proof becuase when they do the background and security checks it will make their job easier and if they're happy you will be happy!!

Thanks for that Matty.

How did you do your Work Experince for the forces.
Did you get a letter to say you had served, or did you use you Red Book?

Hi The welshman

Reading the previous i take it your going for skilled worker? as i am going for family class sponsorship as the wife is canadian, all they required from me was had i spent time in the forces which was 8 years on and off which i put in the application,

I too have the nice red book and i would have thought it would be good to send as more evedince the better just notorizied photocopies and also the final dischared with honurs - come to think of it i dont know where mine is

Im still here sadly had to come back to uk for money until immigration has gone through so im looking at taking some courses over here to use over in canada, like St johns first aid (thats if the uk one is recognised still waiting for reply from st johns ambulance) WHIMIS online (COSHH uk)

By all means drop me an email anytime about any issues, im in the final phase of geting my visa and am glad to help a fellow commrade
