Hi Everyone, I am looking for some help on a question I have about entering Canada. I have purchased a flight back to the U.K. from Toronto and plan to Greyhound from the deep south of the U.S. This route crosses the border around the detroit - windsor area, my question is that I overstayed my tourist visa for the U.S. as a British citizen will I have any problems at the customs checkpoint because of this overstay.
My flight out of Canada will be within 24 hours of entering and I will have paperwork confirming my flights etc. I am not a terrorist, I am just a 50 yr old granmother trying to get home to my family and will be heading straight to the airport to await my flight.
I appreciate anyone who can give me some advice on this matter. Thank you

Hi
You may, as you broke US Immigration laws, Canadian Immigration may look at you closely. It is possible that CIC will give you a confirmation of departure that you have to turn in at Immigration when you depart.

Hi Cookie
Nope, it's a piece of paper that you have to turn in at Immigration at the airport where you are leaving. They will usually escort you to the plane to make sure you leave.
