Default HELP: Personal addresses query in FS worker application form

Hello

My husband and I are just completing our visa forms and are stuck on the personal address history section where it asks for his addresses since the age of 18, he is now 41 and obviously struggling to remember some of the house numbers and postcodes. I've tried on numerous occasions to get hold of the canadian immigration to find out what info is absolutely necessary, I don't want them sending the forms back because they are incomplete but at the same time I don't know how we are going to get round this problem, anybody have any experience of this, I hope so as we want to get things sent but can't as this is holding us up.

I am also currently pregnant and just wanted to make sure we understand the procedue for including the baby on the application form, should this be done once the baby is born?

I hope someone can help a couple in need

You're going to have to give as much info as possible. Google Streetview often helps, and you can easily use the Royal Mail postcode finder if that's the only info missing. If he really can't remember or find out, then put whatever you've got and explain it in the covering letter.

As for the baby (congrats btw!), you'll add him/her to your application once s/he is born.

Ooops, I've just noticed that the lovely AmyDavid already gave you the info about Google Streetview etc in your previous thread!

But I also just wanted to check which NOC your husband is applying under?

Hi, he is applying under the 0114 NOC, he was going to apply under 1122 but the cap for that has been reached

0114 is not on the current FSW Occupation List - so you would not be able to submit a Federal Skilled Worker Application under this NOC. You would need to wait until next July to submit under 1122 again - or look and see if you are eligible for any other routes - PNP perhaps?

Ah, see that's why I asked - I was concerned that you had misunderstood the FSW requirements as I noticed from your previous posts that your husband is a Records Manager, which isn't on the list of eligible occupations. As AmyDavid said, he can't apply under 0114 (unless he has a job offer).

And are you sure he'd qualify under 1122? That's for management consultants etc, but then I'm not actually sure what a Records Manager is! But do make sure you check the duties and that he definitely does them.

Thanks we could apply under 1122 as he is a records management specialist and that is listed under the example job titles. Can't believe we will have to wait til next year now as the cap has been reached, what happens though if some of the applications aren't successful would there still be a chance to get in that way?

No - even if half of the 500 applications are refused - they do not allow anymore in until next year.

I seem to recall your looking at moving to NS - have you looked at the Provincial Nominee Program to see if your eligible under that stream?

So gutted, oh well should have checked properly before starting the process. Our friends moved to NS last september and I seem to recall him having a job offer, i've had a quick look on the internet and I think you need a job offer as the employer will sponser you, not sure how you go about getting a job over there though without PR though, i'll have to investigate. Its a good job you got in touch though as we would have ended up applying using an NOC code that was not relevant, so thanks for that !!!

OK, do make sure he can prove he does the 'main duties' listed though and that the opening paragraph applies to him as that's what's important, the job title actually has little to do with it strangely! It is what he does that is important, and also making sure it's the best NOC for him (i.e. if 0114 is a better fit for his duties then CIC are unlikely to accept him under 1122).

Good luck, hope 1122 is still on the list for next year and you can apply then. Do also look at the Community Identified Stream under the NS PNP - no job offer is required for that route.

And if you already have friends in the area and other connections - this may well be a good route for you.
