Default help needed regarding mom's visitor visa sponsorship

Hello!

Could anybody suggest me what chances I have (or rather my mom has) of
applying for a visitor's visa? She is 52, from India (actually Green
Card holder, but she is soon to discontinue her status) and staying in
India. As for me, I am a landed immigrant, since Feb 2003, working for
only since the last 2 months, in Walmart, and my wife is yet to get
work.

With my above information, can anybody give me information please?
Like, list of documents needed, chances of getting the visa etc.

Thanks in advance,
Ananth

Not enough information provided to make an analysis. First off, she's visiting you here in CAN? Need more info re: mother's connections to IND (economic & family -- how many there, how many here...). You would obviously need to provide correspondence re: your mother's visit/stay in CAN...your mother would have to prove her economic/other ties to IND to assure the visa officer she is a genuine visitor...Basically, need more info. But also you need to review CIC's website -- re: visiting CAN...

I am sorry for confusing information. I am giving it again.

I (aged 32) am a landed immigrant settled in Calgary, Alberta along
with my wife, since Feb 2003. I secured a low laying job (considering
my profession, i.e., I am a computer programmer) just one month back.
I want to sponsor for my mom's visitor's visa somewhere in March 2004.

My mom is in Hyderabad, India, living with my younger brother, 27,
also a computer professional, and working in that area too. Mom used
to be a Green Card holder (USA) but her Green Card status is going to
lapse in Feb 2004. She does not want to go to America forever. Except
me, all of her relatives are in India (if you mean her ties with other
family members like her parents, sisters etc). and mom does not have
much of an economic background, because she is retired, at the age of
52 and living on a pension.

I hope this information is enough. Could you please analyze my case
again, sir? Thanks again!

Hello Ananth.

I am currently attending an Immigration conference in Vancouver...(I am based in Calgary)...if you can give me some time, I can have a proper answer for you in a couple of days once my hectic schedule is under control. You can correspond to me directly at immigrate AT shaw DOT ca or check out www.indiacanada.ca for my credentials and other info.
