Hi, I will give as much info as possible and see if anyone can help
I made a PR application Cat 3 - in may 2010, and the payment fee was taken from my CCard last friday!! yay!!![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
When I applied with my Wife, see had not changed her name yet (as we where in Canada on a WHV and she had to remain in her maiden name so the visa matched her passport), we married in Canada part way through our year visa in Canada.
Now we are back in England doing the long painful wait - she has changed her passport over to her married name.
I have searched and searched online and I can not find out the correct procedure to change a name on a current application?
although I have made payment I do not have a 120 day letter - so should I wait for this and then I will have a case number and go from there?
I tried so hard to find it and nothing, maube I am being a little dumb!!
but any help would be great.
Thanks
Gareth

I would not bother - instead bring the old passport and marriage certificate when you land. Alternatively, just send in copies of those documents and of the new passport with a covering letter showing your file number.

HI,
I have study permit and my wife has work permit here in canada. Our passports are out to US for stamping. Little question came in my mind about my wife's name
in passport: given name, surname in a single line as fullname : XX YY ZZ
(XX- first name, YY-surname before marriage, ZZ-added after marriage ie my surname)
we always fill our forms as given name- XX surname YY ZZ
but get different results for example
in travel visas: given name- XX YY surname- ZZ
in work permit: given name- XX surname YY ZZ
in PR application: given name- XX surname- YY ZZ
in meds: given name- XX surname- YY ZZ
in CAIPS: given-XX YY surname- ZZ
sent for correction to: given name- XX surname- YY ZZ
never got response so ordered another CAIPS but still given-XX YY surname- ZZ
we dont have any problem with either of these names as they are not distinguished in passport. I dont know how the COPR will look like
Will this be any problem while landing
Let me know if i am not clean in my question or explanations
any suggestions
thanks in advance
