Post Help if i have job offer as a cook do i need LMO

Hi there very new to all of this- newbie, still trying to get my brain in order with whats the best way to do things. I might have a chance of a job offer as a cook, but i had read somewhere that i may NOT need an LMO for a cook. Anyone know if this is true. Also is it difficult to get a positive LMO would i be better just waiting it out as a FSW without job offer just incase i get knock back for lmo as this would delay things. comfused, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I've seen jobs like that but I thought they were live in carers. Maybe I'm wrong. Just googled it but could find nothing, sorry

1. Cooks are on the list of "29" eligible occupations. So if you are a cook and meet the points then you don't require a job offer to apply. Take the assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigra...sess/index.asp
2. If you wish to work in Canada before you become a PR, then you will require a LMO from an employer in Canada. Once you have that, then you can apply for a work permit. Note as a cook you would require a medical to work on a work permit.
3. Immigration as a FSW! and the work permit route are 2 distinct processes, neither has any effect on the other.
