Hello, a question about citizenship time
Hello,
I became a PR on the 4th of November 2010, stayed for a month checking the place we were moving too out etc, then went back to UK as I still had 8 months in the RAF before I was due to leave, flew back to Canada on 31st August 2011 to live, which date do I use for my time in Canada requirement? I was married to a Canadian citizen at the time (separated now, joint custody of the 2 kids), I spoke with the CIC and the lady said to use the 2010 date and explain that you went back to finish your military service, anyone use this as a reason ? and get accepted? as according to the website it is up to a judge to decide when someone applies early
Thanks for the help

Re: Hello, a question about citizenship time
Hi
1. Wrong information from Call Centre.
2. You need 3 years of residency in the previous 4 on the date that you apply for citizenship. You apply with less than 1095 days, you can expect your application won't be approved.
