As many others have mentioned you can try and find an employer willing to apply for an LMO so you can get a Work Permit. LMOs can be for non-skilled jobs as well now. Even though you can't use non-skilled Work Permit to apply for Federal Skilled Worker PR, it is likely it would give you that year together and allow you to earn a living.

Another option is taking a course at a university in Canada, you could get a study permit, and you are allowed to work part-time while on it. Again that would give you the time together.

Just a couple of ideas there.


I agree with him. You should try for a student Visa for a one year diploma say in wireless technology at George brown college, Toronto. Post successful completion, you will get 1 more year of work permit. But for this u shd not have any gap between ur education and current work. it wd cost u $19,000 approx. good luck !

Yeah, unfortunately I don't have 20k lying around. Think that one is off the table.
