It used to be about $5k plus fees (so $8kish for a family) for a PR app, may have gone up since then though.

it won’t make things easier as you still have to gather all the paperwork etc yourself. Unless you have complicated circumstances (criminal record, medical issues etc), there’s really no need to use a consultant.

Hi Christmasoompa
thank you
no we don’t have any complications but we do want to go via foreign worker stream and been told we have a better chance if we use a representative as they may get to submit the application when the gateway opens quicker than us 🤷🏻‍♀️ As the last time it opened at the beginning of March is opened and closed the same day
we have other ways to apply but nomination is our quickest and easiest option x

Let me guess, a consultant told you that?! I'd steer well clear of them, if they're lying to get your business it doesn't bode well. It opens at the same time for all, whether a consultant or a normal applicant.

If you have other ways to apply, then personally I'd do that, given the current world situation I wouldn't count on the program opening anytime soon, so if you can apply now under another route, I'd get that underway personally. Which province are you applying under and are you already there working? If so, how long have you got left on your TWP?
