Got the Visa
To All in this NG,
Wow, Yahoo, .... today is my day!
Let me happily announce to the world that I have got the visa in hand at last. I received back the passports after attaching the visa stickers from Detroit Consulate a short while ago. The packet also contains Confirmation for Permanent Residence (CPR) for all the persons.
Let me use this opportunity to thank all experts in this group, especially you, Andrew Miller, for giving prompt replies and valuable advice. I wish all future applicants and those waiting in line all success.
Thank you all once again. I would landing in Canada in a few weeks' time.
JM.

Re: Got the Visa
Filed under independant category in Buffalo, USA;
Got the AOR in 3 weeks;
Got info that an interview is required;
Got call letter after 6 months;
Attended interview (in Detroit) and passed;
Did Medicals right away;
Got letter to send passport after one month after the medicals;
Got back the passport with visa sticker and CPR in just 10 days.
Hope this helps. Wish you all good luck.
This forum has been extremely useful to me.
