CONGRATULATIONS
Great news, ther seems to be quite a few at the moment, I find it very refreshing and encouraging.
When do you plan on landin?
I hope you don't mind me asking but how did you know to expect a sputum test, has it got anything to do with smoking (laugh if im being silly).
We have our meds on the 20 and if im likely to get asked for one, can I ask the doctor to do one when I have the medical to save me going back again.
I hope this makes sense as I am flapping a bit about it.
Best wishes and good luck
Jaynie

Re: Got It, too
I was treated for TB some 11 years ago. I made the 'mistake' of mentioning that on the medical forms at the DMP's office, even though there was no scars or bad spots on my X-rays (from 6 years ago, and afterwards at the DMP)...
I have seen some postings here where some people were asked for sputum tests because of scars on their x-rays due to various reasons, like previous pneumonia, etc. I don't know about smoking.
The thing is the sputum tests(3 consecutive days) are not cheap unless your insurance pays for it (mine did). Typically they are around 65USD each. ($195 in all). Your DMP's medical fees won't cover them.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
