Default GOT PASSPORT REQUEST TODAY

Except for the passport which could get lost on the postal way to/fro
the embassy there's nothing left that could go wrong now.
At this point I'd like to send out a huge thanks to all the people
that are making this board what it is, and who offer their valuable
help and time.

Timeline :

Applied in Familiy Class (German spouse) from outside Canada on
17Feb2003

19Feb2003 Application rec'd by CPC Mississauga, all fees paid up
front
03Mar2003 Start of processing sponsorship
03Mar2003 Application returned, request for additional sponsor
information
29May2003 Resubmitted application
03Jun2003 Sponsor approval/e-Client info online/file transfer to
Berlin
21Aug2003 Start of processing permanent residence
23Aug2003 Interview waiver + medical instructions received
26Aug2003 e-Client info evailable online ('in process')
27Aug2003 Medical examination
08Sep2003 Phone call with embassy in Berlin, they gave info that
background
check had been finished end of August
30Sep2003 Passport request/e-client not updated yet (still 'in
process')

If you subtract the 3 months from beginning of March until end of May
which my husband needed to get the requested additional information,
it comes down to a net processing time of a little over 4 months.

THANK YOU!

hi,
i just like to find out what other documents they requested for the additional information of the sponsor. i'm asking this because i received a letter from nairobi requesting me to submit a canadian passport or citizenship card copy which i don't have. im kinda confused about it but anyway, i sent them a letter that i'm not eligible for citizenship yet up to next year and a copy of my landing paper.

You should be sending a letter of thanks to the Embassy.

I wish it was that fast in Buffalo. They should really allow those in Canada
to apply inland!

Congrats anyhow!

Congratulations!!!

Quite a fast processing w/o upfront medical examination. Especially
the background security checks i.e. they completed it just in 9 days.
A phone call from Berlin embassy (outside US & Canada), highly
unusual. I believe you must get a very nice, courtieus & efficient
visa officer. You should write to him/her a letter of appreciation and
please don't forget to send a copy to CIC head office in Ottawa. Tom

Thanks for all your congrats! I indeed do consider writing a letter to
the embassy, as I realize this was an extraordinary fast processing.

@ ejv5011: CPC Mississaugea requested proof of child support, that's
it. Sorry for the late reply, I didn't notice it between all the
congrats

Have a good week!
NiNe
