No. She has to do more than 'come down to Canada within the 5 year period'. She must clock up at least 2 years in Canada (730 days) *within* this 5 year period.

And then 730 days in every continuous 5 year period thereafter. Otherwise PR will be gone.

Andrew, if I cross the border by road can I take my personal car and bring it back in US. I have not declared this car as a part of my belongings when I first crossed the border. I hope they wont ask me to pay customs on this car since I am going to bring it back?
