Default Got Initial Assessment

I have received my initial assessment today, with interview waiver and
asked to do medical within 60 days. Here is my timeline so far:
Applied May 31, 2002
AOR Nov 28, 2002
Initial Assessment Oct 6,2003

But I have one question for experts, I have sent my and spouse's
passport to INS (BICS) for visa revalidation on Sept 4, and the
medical and FBI request paper from CIC says we should have picture ID
with us like our passports. I have another picture ID i.e. Driver's
License, but my wife does has that. Now what alternate method can be
used for ID at FBI and medicals? I have copies of passport, will it
do?

Thanks,
Bocondo

Hi,
When I did my medicals, my doctor did not ask for any picture ID.

Bocondo --

You will probably need an ID for your wife in both cases - for FBI
fingerprinting as well as medicals.

I did my medicals in May 2003 and the doctor's office told me to bring
the passport, and one more piece of identification.
They were very firm about the need to bring passport *plus* another
ID.
So we used the driving license as the ID.

As for fingerprinting, the police officer only asked for the driving
ID.

I suggest check with both the doctor's office and the police station.
If either (or both) ask for passport, you will need to fax DoS in St.
Louis and ask for your passport back.
Normally, they send the passport back in about 10 - 14 days.

If passport is not needed in either case, at least get a photo ID for
your wife.
It doesn't have to be a driving license - the DMV will do a simple
photo ID.

Best wishes.
