Hello All,

Finally after 2 years and a few months run got the visa from Detroit.
I just wanted to post my time line for those who have a similar case.
Before that, just a note to applicants who have their names posted on
the Canadian Consulate General at Detroit under Cases Ready for Visa
Issuance. My recommandation: Don't wait to get a hard copy
confirmation, as it seems that you are not going to get one! Just
send your passport and the required documents as soon as you see your
name there.

The time line:

Applied: June 2001
AOR: Septemeber 2001
Assessment(interview required): Oct 2002
Interview waver: March 2003
Medical: March 2003
Case ready for visa issuance on Detroit webpage: August1, 03
Waited 20 days for hardcopy confirmation (none received)!
Sent passport on August 21, 03 with FedEx
Got the Visa back on September 4, 03

I am kinda curious to ask from which decent you are from, it's good
news that it didn't take them long to conclude about your background
check.

your timeline is almost same as mine. I also sent out my passport
without waiting for the passport request letter.
