Default Got it!

It's my turn - finally!

Got my passport request from CHC London on Monday

My timeline:
Application received by CHC 30th December 2003
AOR sent by CHC 24th February 2004 (told me to wait 18 months. Some people who applied just before me had "15-month AORs" - I think I was one of the first to have an 18-month one. Later found out BFD was August 21st 2005)
Medicals sent by CHC 2nd June 2005
Medical results sent to CHC 24th June 2005
Passport request sent by CHC 15th July 2005

I'll be dropping my passport in by hand and collecting it two weeks later.

In summary:
- No interview required
- No extra info required (just med results and RPRF). So I didn't have to get new police certs or submit bank statements etc

For info:
- I applied on my own (no spouse or kids)
- I didn't get anything notarised
- I got all my photos done in a booth (application, medical, visa)
- I sent in refs from all my previous employers but not all of them had business cards attached
- I sent in contracts from all previous jobs
- I didn't do TEF. I just wrote two statements - one about my proficiency in English and another about my proficiency in French

Hope that helps someone!

Well done! My AOR is 28th Feb 04 and I still haven't had my medical request yet!

Best of luck for the future!

Thumbs up Re: Got it!

Congratulations Suzey!!

And thanks for submitting all the details of your application. I often wonder why they sometimes do and sometimes don't ask for new police checks, even if one is patently well past the year interval.

In our case, I reckon 'twas that our son had turned 18 since applcation. (and the rest of us have rather more grey hairs than when we started, but I think that's more to do with worry than the passage of time!!!!!) :scared:

Cool Re: Got it!

CONGRATS SUZEY!!

I also did not have to supply any notarised copies or attend an interview for my spousal application ... all this scaremongering regarding notarised copies is a load of tosh, not forgetting the related extortionate fee's ...

Thanks! Yup, all went smoothly - I had been waiting for my 18 months to be up and dreading the feeling that my application had got lost somewhere, but my timeline has been OK. I know there are some Feb AORs still waiting but a March AOR got their med request today

Good luck to all those still in the queue.

Cheers Wayne! Hope you hear something soon too.

Just realised that there is a karma thing attached to my profile - and that I haven't actually got any! Do I have to be part of the gang then?

Cheers! I did wonder if they'd ask for police checks, but nope. However when I started work at CHC they spent five weeks doing background checks on me so maybe that helped. I doubt it though!!!

Surprised they didn't ask for up-to-date bank statements and stuff too. I never did get around to sending the payslips I promised them in my covering letter either... LOL!
