Default goods list (landing)

Hello,

Finally we got our landing papers today and are going to land as soon as
possible! I have a question regarding the list of personal items for the
customs.

We are already in Canada and have been living there for 2.5 years (on
employment authorisation). So for landing we will just go to the US-Canada
border (half an hour from Vancouver) and go to the Canadian
immigration/customs post there. We will land without any luggage, but we
still have some items back in our home country which we would like
eventually to bring to Canada (for example, books, CDs, my husband's guitar,
some household items - linen, kitchenware, etc, some clothing, probably, TV
& musical centre, etc.). We did not take those items with us initially
because we were not sure if we stay in Canada and get a PR.

Can we include those items in the list now? Are we still considered as
newcomers even though we lived in Canada as temporary residents for some
time?

How detailed should the list be? Naturally, we cannot recall every book or
CD we have, nor do we remember the exact number of them. Can we just write
"Books", "Musical CDs", "Videocassettes"? The same with other household
items. As for the TV etc. is it really necessary to write serial number and
year (we do not know it and it is very difficult to find it out now, from
here)?

I would be grateful for any advice

Best regards,
Anna
