Default Goods to Follow form B4E

Hi,
Need some help completing the Goods to Follow Form B4E. My husband is leaving for Canada next week - we are emigrating under the saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program, our container left last week and we are filling in the paperwork for him to take with him. On the form it under landed immigrant/permanent resident it asks for port and date of entry - as we dont fall into this category do we complete this or leave it blank? Also what is the cargo control number?

It will the be date he "lands" and the airport that he "lands" at. If he is not "landing" leave it blank.

The company that shipped your goods will give you the cargo control number. It is normally the bill of lading number, until it gets to Canada. The people recieving it, will have to get a new CC number to move it under bond to their warehouse.

Does "Landed immigrant" not mean after you have received your PR, as opposed to the first time he arrives in Canada with his LMO to receive his work Permit??

Thanks for that - just another stupid question - the address they ask for - I take it that is the address in Canada not the address the container was shipped from - am seriously considering not filling this form in until he gets to Calgary!!!!

So it would appear that he is coming on a work permit rather than a permanent residence. So leave it blank.

To OP

You do not need to complete a B4E form, you can simply list your goods on a piece of paper and when you get to customs THEY will fill in the B4E form. Your list will be attached to it.

Your goods to follow list can be as simple as:

Item 1 - Qty 1 - Box of books - $100
Item 2 - Qty 1 - TV (Make, Model, Serial) - $500
etc.....

You should list make/model/serial for electrical items and have photographs of jewellery (+ valued if possible).

Thanks - that might be alot easier. If we had say 10 boxes of childrens toys could we list them as

Item 1 - Qty 10 - Boxes of Childrens Toys - $ 500
Item 2 - Qty 4 - Boxes of Clothes - $600
Item 3 - Qty 11 - Boxes of Kitchen Items - $1000

or does each box have to be listed seperately? I am really sorry being pain but want to get this right - my husband is flying out on his own and am trying to make this go as smoothly as possible for him.
