Sorry too, but the news is not as good as reported because only the
litigants gain anything.

It means that the Officals will not reconsider as expected they did not do a good job on completing the interview schedule before March 2003. So they should extended the Dead line from March 2003 to later month. Does not make any sense.
Mr Jim Humphries may be you can help me i applied when the points system was 70 so now i am really not intersted so can i ask for refund now that it is not my mistake that i wont be able to fulfill or would i do something that i can get my money back. I feel bad about this whole Points issue.

You can only get a refund if your case has not been screened by the visa
office. How you are supposed to know this is a mystery. But, if you feel
you wnat to withdraw, in this situation, write and ask them to do theat and
to send you a refund of all fees as pormised.

While the decision of the Federal Court applies only to the instant case,
there may be implications for others who applied before 1 JAN 2002.
It may be a good idea to get a legal opinion on what action can be taken
against CIC. After all, the judge did say that CIC failed to do its duty.
When someone is negligent, perhaps there is recourse.

I don't know how many people are waiting for a Interview Before March 31st 03, and who had applied before 2002 JAN.
Would you suggest a place were we all can pile up our files and start a case as this the only way we can get them push the deadline date or get out interview earlier. Pl some one suggest how to go about this as it would be very expensive for me alone to Find a attorney and file a case on CIC.

There is a move afoot that will file an injunction for as many interested
parties as possible. For those interested can contact (if you counsel
already, ask counsel to contact me) me as the details are still being worked
out. The idea is that as a group the cost would be much lower. It may
turn out to be only a hundred cdn or less.
I know it sounds bad to ask for more money, but lawyers are expensive, the
department has all our money to bring to combat , we have only ourselves and
our clients.
Also, there was a site in this group last year called www.savecanada.com.
Rosenblatt and a small group of other lawyers created the site to try to
effect change. He is one of the lawyers who faught the Dragan case. He is
now looking for applicants who are in this position (as well as those who
filed during the post 1 JAN 02 period to assemble a group to lodge as many
court cases as possible as quickly as possible. I was informed that they
would be charging 500 usd a case to get filed at the court.

Just to add, for some cases (especially those filed before 1 JAN 2002) it is
important to act quickly as the 31 MAR 03 date is coming.
