I have been trying without success to phone the bryden clinic in glasgow to book my medical.
The number given rings out then goes onto a vodaphone answermachine.
has anyone else had this problem
also anyone know what they charge?

Hi Karen
We phoned around recently to get prices and time scales for a medical appointment and I don't think OH got a hold of that one either. There is another in Glasgow area and if I recall correctly it was £145 plus £75 for the X-ray.
Let us know how you get on we are not far behind you.
Good luck
Tom

The Bryden woman was very good when we used her mid-Feb. She charges £160 per person, and you have to add £80 each to that for the X-ray at the Nuffield. I rang them on the Thursday, and they were able to fit the three of us in on the following Monday morning.

Hi,
I have also used them recently, and can recommend Dr Bryden.
From what I remember her saying, they tend to have plenty of appointments and you can normally get one within a few days. If you phone Linda, her administrator, on 0141 226 2530, she can organise appointments for you.
Alternatively, you can e-mail her at [email protected]
The medicals cost £110 each and there are two blood tests ( HIV and Syphillus) which cost £50 . The medicals are sent to London special delivery , which costs £5. So the total is £165 per person.
Things to take - If you are currently on any prescriptions, a copy of your repeat prescription sheet is helpful and any relevent specialist letters. You also need to take passport photos with you - 2 for the medical and another 2 (if I remember correctly) for the chest x-ray at the Nuffield hospital in Great Western Road Glasgow.
Hope this is of help
Regards
GW

Thanks guys for your replies, ill try that other number,
the anniesland doctor is only 135 plus 80 so as im trying to save the pennies that might be a better option.
I wish i was as far on as you Tom this is only for my bunac!
My photo is already attached to the medical form, there is no mention of needing to take more, better to be safe than sorry i suppose.

I called both of them, and like the others have said, bryden could see you earlier but was a bit more expensive. I called the one in anniesland last week to be told the earliest appt was at the end of may... so if you want it done quick call the bryden medical centre.
hope this helps!
we've got our medicals next friday. xrays the following monday!
