Default Getting a FedEx package out of their depot early

My passport is on it's way back from Seattle to me in North Vancouver.... and today is Saturday and it's happily sitting in Richmond.

I've rung FedEx and they are seeing if they can get it out of the container and I can go get it, but there is no guarantee they will be able to do this. If they can, it's a $25 surcharge (on top of the $44 for shipping it here).

Has anyone done this previously, how successful were you?
