Default Gettin Work Permit with AINP

We are currently witing for COPR and I have just received a copy of AINP nomination certificate from my next employer! Is this copy along with a copy of job offer all I need to drive to Coutts to obtain a new permit? Really want out of this current job asap!!! Thank you

Presumably that is sufficient - it might be wise to take along copies of your qualifications and work references anyway - but are you obtaining PR on the basis of Arranged Employment? If so the bad news is you have to stay with the same employer until visa issuance.

No it wasn't arranged employment route so I think I should be ok!

hi, we are in a similar situation but in Manitoba. my OH has just been nominated by MPNP thru the employer driven stream but we have also been given a letter of support from MPNP for him to change employers due to extenuating circumstances. We have been told that he has to apply for the new work permit online but im wondering if he can't just flagpole at the border and get new work permit that way. his current permit doesnt expire for a year so im wondering would it be safe for him to try this and hopefully the border officials would issue him with a new permit for new employer once he has all his documentation with him i.e. job offer, MPNP letter of nomination and MPNP letter of support. What did you decide to do?

Ok then, you may as well check with the AINP first before making the trip

Gave my current job 2 weeks notice today. If COPR is not here by end of next week might just head to border
