Default german-canadien family

I am married to a canadien and we wnt to move back to canada after living
here in germany for ten years. Is it possible to ask for permanent residence
from inside canada after entering the country as a tourist? My husband
starts his new job this fall, and I don' t want to wait here until the whole
thing is processed in Berlin. Or do I have problems with that? Can I travel
back and forth during the process? The kids shouldn' t be a problem, they
have canadien passports or citizenship card.

please help!

Yes, it is possible but only if admission to Canada was not gained through
fraud, omission or misrepresentation. It means that at the Canadian port of
entry when asking for admission you should disclose your intentions of
applying inland. It is highly unlikely in your circumstances (German
national with Canadian children and spouse) that you'll be denied entry.

Thank you for the answer.
But can I leave the country , to visit my parents or to go on holidays,
while I am applying inland? I read some terrible things here............
How long does it take to get permanent residence? Waht do I need to bring
from Germany or can I do everything in Canada.
If I travel alone with my children how can I proof that I am married to a
canadien at the border?

Thanks again.

There will never be a guarantee for re-entry, so it is advisable to remain
in Canada until inland process is completed. Inland process will take
anywhere from 6 to 12+ months.

What is needed? Why won't you download the inland application package and
see for yourself:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/applications/spouse.html

Your children will have Canadian passports or citizenship cards and you
don't need to show any proof of being married to Canadian - your own
admission is what will count.

Sorry, dear experts, more questions.
Why is there no guarantee for re-entry? What status would I have while the
inland process is in process? Tourist? Probably not. I can't imagine not
going back for 12 months.

Thank you!

You will only have a visitor status and such can be extended, but every time
you leave Canada you will have to ask for admission again and this
(admission) is never guaranteed, although it would be highly unlikely that
you won't be granted admission. You may get a short one (few weeks) and you
will have to apply for extension of stay while in Canada.

This is why I said earlier - it is advisable to remain in Canada until you
are a PR as every time you leave you risk not being admitted back. And if
for some reason you are not admitted then your inland process may be deemed
abandoned and you will have to start all over from abroad this time.

Hallo
Status.
Aber wir sind dann wieder zurück nach
Deutschland gegangen, aus familären Gründen.Ich kann mir gut vorstellen,daß
dein Mann den Antrag innerhalb Canada
stellen kann.Weil er Canadier ist.Ich glaube
aber nicht,daß das so umfangreich ist.Sonst
rufe doch mal bei der Kanadischen Botschaft
in Berlin an.Die geben dir Auskunft.
Iris
