FSW2 or Nominee Program
We are going to start the process of finally applying for our PR.:)
We have been in Canada for the past 7 1/2 years on husbands work permits, 7 years spent in Montreal hence why we didn't apply sooner. Looking at PR options we are a little confused as to the best And quickest way that we can achieve this. FSW2 (NOC B) , FSW3 or Ontario Nominee program ? Any opinions on the FSW3 or nominee program and the process greatly appreciated. |

As to Provincial Nomination, are you determined about staying in Ontario or are you willing and able to move elsewhere in Canada? Ontario is one of the harder PNP streams to apply for. What kind of work does he do? if it's skilled Trades then there is a FSW (Trades) scheme and several Provinces have specific streams for PNP for trades. There's the FSW with job offer stream (FSW2) and with 7 years of Canadian experience he could apply for the CEC stream. The processing is quickest for CEC, around 13 months, other FSW are taking around 25 months, although with Provincial nomination you could obtain a TWP on the back of it (do the newish rulings of no more than 4 years for TWP holders apply to you?). I would suggest having a quick read on CIC website to see the different streams and what each Province requires for nomination then come back and ask some more questions. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp :) |
Re: FSW2 or Nominee Program
Thanks for all the info, Husbands job is skilled but not trades (computer games industry) NOC B ,We are definitely going to stay in Ontario, full time perm job.
I think the CEC is our best option, had not thought to look at that thanks:thumbup: Our work permits run out sept 2015 so the quickest route is what we need, the 4 year rule applies to us unfortunately. The Ontario Nominee program looks to be a longer process? |
