FSW Question
We are going in PNP. Happily, a friend of mine just received an employment offer and LMO. Apparently his employer didn't want to process PNP for him. I have no idea why? (but whatever)
Anyway he wants to apply for FSW if he get his LMO, but he wants to know if he needs a separate letter from his employer. Or is the letter of offer/contract enough ie. armed with an LMO and contract offer (he already has) can he apply for FSW.
I volunteered to ask for him.

If so and he has an approved LMO and a copy of his signed contract, he can apply. Have a read of the requirements on the CIC website as it lists exactly what documentation, qualifications, funds and tests are required.

Re: FSW Question
Does his job qualify him for FSW (i.e. is it a skilled position)? Does he meet all the other requirements for a FSW application?

I don't know his code but he is a high earning business (insurance) executive type - I'm 100% he is one of the professions but NOT on the FSW 1 list.
i.e. NOC Code 0 is it or whatever is professional code. BUT his job is not on the FSW1 occupation list.
Does that make sense?
He does fulfill other FSW criteria.
OK so assuming your answer to above is positive, then OK he can apply with his contract offer and LMO, is that right?
Thanks.

Re: FSW Question
He will also need a letter stating that he'll be given a permant job if PR is granted, just the LMO and contract wouldn't be enough on their own, as they're only for a temp role.

I will tell the poor fellow he needs to ask for more paperwork. He'll be sure to whine a lot now.
