Unhappy FSW processing time down to 8 months? Still no updates :(

I checked and it seems to indicated that the processing time for people who submitted the FSW application on or after June 2010 is down to 8 months.

I submitted mine November 18 2011 and I have had no status updates since "We have received your application". Not even an update saying that my file has been transferred to Ottawa.

I've tried emailing to see what the status of my application is, given that its outside the processing times, but I never get any response.

Tired of not knowing whats going on, for all I know they've lost my file. Any suggestions on what to do? Could I call someone?

For information I applied for FSW while currently employed in Canada, to the Buffalo office.

Where are you getting 8 months from? It says 15 months for FSW processing via Ottawa. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informa...killed-fed.asp

When you say you submitted your application in Nov 2011, was that to CIO in Sydney, or when your file was transferred for processing to Buffalo?

The emails you've sent, are they case specific?

Nobody knows yet Jeremy, nothing you can do but wait and keep an eye on the IEC website. Make sure you've got everything ready to apply in the meantime, and hopefully it will be soon.

There is a huge IEC thread, so rather than posting on this one which is nothing to do with IEC it would be better if you put any other IEC related questions on there.

HTH and welcome.

I definitely read 8 months, now whether I was reading the correct information is another question.

The November date is the date they received the application in Buffalo and updated the status on the website.

The emails I sent have been case specific.

Mmmm, and no response to them? That's odd. So on Ecas you've not gone in to processing yet?

Might be worth bombarding them with email after email until you do get a response if you haven't heard a thing since Nov 2011. Have they not requested anything else from you?

Its "In Process". The last thing I heard from them was when they requested fingerprints for my wife in March 2012. Since then nothing. I was kinda expecting I'd get medical requests soon. I would think my application would be one of the simpler ones with only a single dependent and being employed in Canada for over a year already.

Oh, ok. So if you're in process and they've requested additional info then it seems that you're well underway? And according to the CIC page above, processing times are 15 months (average, so some longer obviously), so you've not quite hit that point yet.

I wouldn't worry yet, give it another couple of months and then if you haven't had med requests maybe send another case specific email?
