All modern UK passports contain biometric information. Perhaps it just means that information will be part of the process.
It specifically said about finger prints and photo's. Obviously this will slow things up a fair bit as even in Pakistan/India/Africa not every applicant gets called for an interview, so if every applicant now has to attend at least a 10 minute session of finger prints and photo when applying for the visa that could give a lot of extra work to the Embassies.

Hi,

My first post here (hopefully more to come!).

I just wanted to clarify something. I'm fairly confident of the answer, but just wanted to be sure.

Do these pauses affect going down the LMO (or intra-company transfer) and TWP route? I'm assuming they don't and these routes are still operating as normal, but I just wanted to be sure.

I assume the pause also wouldn't affect applying for PR when over on a TWP, with the arranged employment offer?

From the way I've read this thread and the guidelines, I'm pretty sure I'm correct, but had to be sure.

Thanks,

Graham.

The Arranged Employment Opinion (or Offer) FSW route is for PR and that is not affected.

Neither is the LMO/TWP route so you're correct on those points.

Hi,

Excellent, thanks for clearing that up.

Had a moment of panic before :-)

Currently waiting on the outcome of an internal interview for a position in Toronto. Whilst we haven't discussed which route we'd go down if I'm fortunate enough to be successful, I would imagine it'd either be the LMO/TWP or Intra-company transfer/TWP. After arriving, would then plan to apply for PR. The other (less likely due to time it'd take) option would be the AEO PR before moving. The company's immigration specialists would sort it out though.

While I obviously still don't know whether I'll be successful or not, I worried that this pause would go and ruin things completely! Thankfully, all options above seem to be fine to press ahead with :-)

Now, back to the first step of trying to get a job offer!

Thanks again,

Graham.
