Default Free Seminar "SUCCESSFUL RESUMES AND COVER LETTERS" FOR NEWCOMERS

Hi Everyone,

New English and French courses started. If you could not get the
English lessons at the time you wanted, just go to the website:
www.a-better-chance.org

We made a listing of all English classes that are free for new comers
in Ottawa. Maybe you find a more favourable time or class.

I just got a reminder from the English Conversation Group where you
cannot only meet nice people, but also brush up your conversation
skills. And it's free!

…..This is a reminder that our English conversation evenings begins
again on Wednesday September 10 and will take place every Wednesday at
7 pm. The time and address are the same:
from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at 88 Main Street (school building, first floor).

We look forward to seeing many friends who came last year as well as
meeting new friends who want to improve their English conversation
skills. Everyone is welcome.

FREE SEMINAR
On Sept. 12th you can improve your resume writing skills and learn how
to create custom made cover letters - and some other things that are
helping you to convince potential employers to invite you for an
interview.
This free seminar starts at 5 pm (until 8 pm) at Merivale Rd.

To register please go the website www.a-better-chance.org to reserve
your seat.
As soon as we get your registration we will send you a map of the area
and a detailed description of your way to the seminar room.

But we do not only help you with resume writing we go a step further:

The free "Interview Training" Seminar takes place a week later –
September 19th on the same spot. You learn how to answer sometimes
tricky questions and to persuade your future employer that you are the
best staff member he can possibly hire.

The interview is the most important part of your job search. Make it
count! Give yourself an edge over the competition and come out of your
next interview with the job!
And don't forget: to help you find a job we need your resume, send it
t o d a y to the website www.a-better-chance.org
See you on the 12th and 19th - if you are seriously looking for a
job…

P.S. under "Canada Tips" you will find a wealth of information at the
website about everything that's free in Ottawa from Museums to Child
Tax Benefits and from Cinema to Swimming or Video Rental.
By the way:
Who is looking for volunteer working to gain Canadian Job Experience?
We need a lot of helpers … just send an email, what you are good in
and what you like to do or learn, we get in touch with you and let you
know about the temporary half-day volunteer jobs that need to be done
for the organisation.
