Hi all,

We just received an email from CIC about a month after submitting our application to link my application to an online account. I already have an account from my Work permit and study permit applications but should we create a completely new account and link it to that or just link it to mine? Also would this mean that we will be receiving sponsorship approval soon?

Just link to your existing account given you are the principal applicant

Thanks. I tried that and it said their were no applications based on the details I entered which is strange cos the email gives an application number and UCI number which I both entered to link. Not sure if this is maybe just an automated email that gets sent out after a period of time?

It says I only have seven days to link it but if thats happening what can I even do?

Thanks. Keep forgetting that is there for help. I did as the wiki said and it showed it as successful but the application itself hasn't shown up in mycic submitted applications for some reason.

Sometimes it takes a couple of days. Probably a creaky old batch-based system. MyCIC is pretty flaky I am afraid!
