Dear All,

I am in deep trouble.Please help!!

My husband who is a permanent resident of Canada, has to apply for my
Family class sponsership..I came to know that since i was in USA for
more than 6 months i need to get :
1) Police Clearance Certificate from FBI.
2) Police Clearance Certificate from state Of California .( where i
was for >6months).

How do i get them,,,,am sitting in INDIA. I dont know the procedure to
get Police clearance certificate from State of California.

For "Fingerprinting form" by FBI, i sent them an application to
request a form for me ,for India. More than two weeks have passed and
i have not received any form from FBI.
Can i get fingerprints from any police station in INDIA?

Please help..am totally confused ,about how should i get PCC from both
FBI and CA, that too faster!! There is no proper procedure and mention
about forms etc...and how to go about it!!

Relax. Presumably it's coming in the mail. Regular mail.

You husband may contact the FBI by calling them and asking them about
getting the Fingerprint form. (http://www.fbi.gov/homepage.htm)


All I know is that , if you want to submit the fingerprint you have to
get you fingerprints done at your local police station and then submit
them to FBI with US$18.00 fee.


Now in your case ,the best bet would be to call the FBI and ask them
about getting the police clearance.Or you can call them during their
office hours from India .

I've been through this. I have a few FBI finger printing forms to

We live in the States, but want to immigrate to Canada. I actually
called the FBI. I was told, they give so called "arrest record". We
had to go to the local police office to get our official
fingerprinting. Then we had to write a request, why we want this
record, get a money order, and mail it to a certain address.
But I had no idea, we also need state record. Do we?
