Finding work without PR cards?

Finding work without PR cards?
Hi everyone,
I am wondering about the PR cards. If it takes up 4-6 weeks after landing to obtain the PR cards, are we allowed to find work or start in a position without it at all? Or does it imply that we have to budget to live on our savings for that period of time?
On the other hand, I understand SIN numbers are available immediately and one is not allowed to take up a position without it. Is the situation the same with the PR cards?

You will not need a PR card to start/find work and you will have a non-temporary SIN.

PR cards are mainly required for travel purposes when re-entering Canada
Sin card or in some cases just sin number will be required for employment

And, you can get your SIN card number right away with the actual card following along in a few weeks.

Forgot to mention Sin number will be provided by your nearest ' service Canada ' ( sin cards follow in post to the Canadian address 'you' provide the IMO )
There is a Service Canada located in most large cities ,just take your COPR and your passport. ( once you've landed of course )
