Filling out more bloomin forms - citizenship
Just a quick question:
Have filled out all the citizenship forms and just paid online. I have to put my name and address on the payment receipt, but there is a box which says "Client ID" - am I supposed to know this number or is it something that the minions at the immigration office will fill in for me (how can I have a client ID if I haven't sent the application off yet?!)
Ta!
Flossie

Hey Floss lady I'd presume in my natural incompetant manner that this would be for the powers that be to assign the file number or ref. to.
But I know nothing so just ignore this reply as i'm just randomly answering questions

If you've ever had a work permit or applied for PR, or had any official visa or such like from CIC, then you should have a client ID.
In fact, if you have a PR card, and I can only attest to the new picture ones, it's on the font of it under the ID No item. It's four digits, a dash, then four more digits.
You could phone CIC and ask them what your client id is, as I'd not be shocked to find they'd send the forms back to you as incomplete if you don't fill it in.

Re: Filling out more bloomin forms - citizenship
We sent our citizenship application forms off at the beginning of December and got an acknowledgement letter back today with the Discover Canada study guide. No time line although I'm guessing at least another 10-12 months.
