Thank you all who helped with my questions throughput the process.
I have a few more questions on Landing. My wife & I will be driving
into Canada this week for Landing.
1) For proof of funds, do I need to carry Traveler's checks with me
for the full amount (~$10,000) or will a Bank Statement along with
some Traveler's checks (~$3,000) be fine?
2) Is it fine if I reach the border around 10-11 p.m. or is the post
closed at night?
3) If I drive a rental car, is there a problem?
The above questions may be very basic but I want to play it safe.
Thanks

A bank statement from a US bank will be fine, with travellers cheques.

It depends which border point you are going to. Major ones are open 24
hours, some of the smaller ones, do not have Immigration on the late shift.
> 3) If I drive a rental car, is there a problem?
Not if the rental car can be returned in Canada.

PMM,
Thanks for your answers. As a follow up:
1) I will be crossing at the Queenston Lewiston Bridge. Do you know if
that border point is going to be open?
2) I will be returning to USA in 3 days & going back to Canada
permanently after a few months once I get my company to transfer me
to Canada. In this case, will a rental car be a problem?
Thanks,
AJ
