Question Federal Immigration - URGENT

Please Advice Mr. Miller
Hi All

I have applied for canadian immigration in FEb 2002 and rec. file no in June 2002. I am securing 70 points. My consultant had adviced me to learn french. so

1) For what level do i need to learn french ( Basic / moderate)

2) What if before giving my french certificate...embasssy will access my case. Will they refuse it on first cut?

3) What supporting docs I am supposed to present for english language skills, if i will not appear for IELTS

Waiting for an early response

Starting learning French now will not help you at all (unless you are some kind
of genius) because you will not reach moderate level and pass TEF test on at
least level 4 before the assessment of your case is made. Basic French will
give you only 2 points and you are missing at least 5, so you'll need to prove
moderate proficiency. You should rather concentrate on finding a job offer from
Canada.

Why are you not asking your consultant all those questions?

2) Most likely yes as you don't have at least 75 points, unless your case is
strong in other areas and there is something substantial leading to
discretionary approval, but it would be rather a miracle...

3) If your consultant can't help you then visit CIC website and read there what
must be submitted in lieu of IELTS test. Same info you'll find in visa post
specific instructions. But note that substitute evidence will not guarantee you
objective assessment like IELTS and you may get 8 points for language instead
of 16 you hope for.
